Yesterday, Bub had a message to call a customer and her name was spelled Le-A. After pondering the spelling, Bub decided, as many of us would, that the girl's name was pronounced "Lee/a" (long e, short a).
When Bub called the girl and referred to her by name, he was quickly corrected on the pronunciation of her name.
She said, "My name is not 'lee/a'. It is pronounced 'le/dash/a'. The dash isn't silent!"
I just wonder what Shakespeare would think of that name?
